Hard-Work Pays Off

In 2008 Sports Illustrated came out with the top 50 most paid athletes over the year. The same person has been on top for the past 4 years, yes Tiger Woods. With just salary and winnings he made $22,902,706 plus what he got from endorsements, which was $105,000,000, which then gave him a total of 127,902,706 for just one year. The second person is Phil Mickleson ranking in at about $62,372,685 that is also the added total from endorsements and from his salary and winnings. Then awhile down the line to the 50th spot would be the littlest Manning, Eli. He made 15, 450,000 last year and is probably making more as he gets older and more experienced in the game of football. All the guys have worked hard to earn the amount of money they are making today. They have gone through many hard practices and many long hours to be where they are, some people may think that athletes are overpaid but I think that people should become an athlete first and then talk bad about them. Sure, they might not do as much now as they did in high school or college but it is still hard putting all of the training hours in and also trying to balance a home life. So all I have to say is that I am a little jealous of them, because if I could do the sport I loved and make millions for it, believe me I would.
