2009 NJCAA Swimming and Diving Champions

This is my second NJCAA championship, and this one was a hell of a lot better than last year. This year the team has been through a lot of ups and downs but in the end it made us stronger, it really showed at the meet. National as well as school records were being broken left and right it was by far the most exciting meet I have ever swam. I was in the 200 Individual Medley, which is two laps of every stroke: Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and finally Freestyle. I finished third in that event behind two of my teammates, but it was a best time so I was okay with it. Then the 100 back and 100 freestyle, which is four laps of the stroke I finished second in the back and third in the free. To end the meet I was on the last relay, the 4x100 freestyle relay. I was on it back in December when we broke the NJCAA record, we got up there and smashed the record by two seconds, which might not sound like a lot but in swimming two seconds might as well be two minutes. It was a great meet, I am sad that it is over but at the same time I am ready for a break!
