4/20

Most people think of April 20th as national weed day. But surprisingly there have been a number of events, births, and deaths on this day dating back to the 1300's!  In 1920 a tornado kills 219 people in Alabama and Mississippi. A big one that most people remember is the shooting at Columbine High School, ten years ago. The tragic story of teens shooting their classmates before shooting themselves. In 2001 China removes homosexuality off the list of mental illnesses, in 2007 there was another shooting at Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas killing a male hostage and himself. Then in 2008 Danica Patrick wins the Indy Japan 300 becoming the first female driver to ever win a Indy car race. There were over 122 births of famous actors, athletes, political leaders, all on this day. Some of these people include Adolf Hitler, Allan Houston, Carmen Electra, and many many more. While there were 122 births on 4/20 there were only 47 deaths, including the people of Columbine, Eddie Dyer, VL Mike, and other authors, singers, athletes, scientists, and leaders. So my point of this post is that many people think that this day is national weed day, when really it means so much more to other people around the whole entire world.
