A Call From My Mother

A few weeks ago my dad turned 50, and my mom and one of her friends threw a party for their husbands (my dad and his best friend). All of my family and friends were coming in from all over the place to celebrate this with my dad. My younger brother and sister did not really want to be there because well most of the guests were 21+ and everyone was enjoying themselves except for my siblings. So, my brother calls his friends and has them come pick him up; my mom said it was fine as long as they did not do anything stupid. Which was just very dumb on my mom's part, but anyway, they all go back to my house and start playing video games like most high school boys do. They knew no one would be back for quite a long time, the party ended at midnight and then the party was moving to someone's house. So my brother and his friends decided to go in my garage, sit in a circle, and light up for a bit. This is all being told by my mom, so you never know if your getting the whole truth. See my mom did not catch them, but my brother was being such a jerk to my younger sister that she got super mad and decided to tell on him. I mean okay smoking is one thing, but my brother needs to know when not to do it, and especially do not do it in our garage..what an idiot. So my mom goes on telling me how my older brother's friends came and took my brother to play basketball earlier that day and when they came home she was pretty sure they were smoking, but she did not say anything because she was not sure and she was stressed about the party that night. She instead just told my brother to do a bunch of chores around the whole house and not to leave again. Then later that night (after he got caught in my garage) he had to go about a mile down the street and pick up some of my brother's friends from the party. He dropped about 5 of the guys off at my house and then one of the guys said "just stay in the car and lets go get something to eat". Of course, my brother was not about to pass up free food. But when they got back to the house my brothers friend went right into the house and told my mom he smoked out my younger brother, by the way my mom was saying it to me it sounded like she almost had a heart attack. Granted the only thing that was funny about him telling my mom is that he was totally honest to my mom and did not even think about lying to her. Needless to say my brother to this day is still grounded, and my mom said he will be until the end of first semester. It might not be funny to her but my older brother and I got a good little laugh out of it. It should be an interesting week when I go back to visit over break next week.
