Now personally I do not understand everything that is going on in this article. But I do understand that people want cannabis to be classified as a "B" drug instead of a "C" drug. Which simply means that there would be less of a sentence if someone was caught using it. The sentence would be reduced from 5 years to 2 years. Then the next topic which caught my eye was that alcohol was more dangerous. This caught my eye because I have heard this argument more than once. I have heard that alcohol impairs your decisions more than cannabis does, alcohol can lead to alcoholism, violence, liver issues and many more. I am not 100% sure on all the arguments with alcohol vs. cannabis but I do know people who have gone through being treated as alcoholics, and I have known people who have been called "pot heads" and from personal experience I would say people going through alcoholism have a tougher time stopping than people who are trying to stop smoking. The last part of this article talks about "protecting the young" and how it should be classified as a class "B" drug and the law needs to be cracked down on so the younger generation will not have any "mental health" problems, because according to some research smoking too much cannabis will lead to mental health issues.
