Vending Machine

My friends and I were sitting around looking at You Tube videos that I could use on my blog. We came around to this one, as you will be able to see it talks about medical marijuana being put into a vending machine. Finding this video turned into a huge debate with my friends and I.  See a few of my friends think marijuana should be illegal and should never even be thought about being legalized. When all my other friends think there should be no question asked if it should be legalized, they are still wondering why it is so wrong. And then when it comes to me and what I think of it, well it is not a simple right or wrong for me. I know many people who have lit up and have been perfectly fine; my brother, my friends, I know my dad did when he was in college.  But then at the same time I know a few people that have started smoking and then got into some pretty messed up stuff and are to this day, about 5 years later still kicking themselves for ever being into it. But then again when I have asked them why they ever got into those hard drugs a couple of them said it was because of the people they were associated with while one of them blamed it strictly on smoking marijuana. Now whom do I believe, well really I believe both of them. I think that sometimes people do get mixed up with the wrong people and those people lead them to other drugs. While at the same time I think that if some people never got into smoking marijuana there would be less of a chance if they ever tried any other drugs. I am not trying to sit here and tell people that drugs are bad or good, do I think that it is more acceptable in our society today? Well, the truth is, yes I do believe that it is becoming more acceptable. Do I think it will ever be legalized? I really have no idea, if it is it will most definitely not be when I am in school or anytime in the near future. The only thing I really do care about is using other stronger types of drugs. I know that if I saw my brothers, friends, or even my boyfriend using any other drug I would probably not talk to them for a very long time.
