I am a big Mac girl, no not like the item on McDonald's menu, but my family, well they are big PC people. When it came to me getting a laptop it was just one huge battle, luckily I got my way. When I was researching on what laptop to get I found two websites that had very good things to say about PC’s but better things to say about Mac’s. The first website I saw was www.pcworld.com, this website showed that PC’s and Mac’s actually have the same memory (2GB) same hard drive (160 GB at 5400 rpm) and the same screen size (13.3 inches), this is comparison to the MacBook and the Dell XPS M1300. In the end the MacBook was actually cheaper than the Dell XPS M1300, the price of the Mac product was $1299 where the Dell product was $1308, the apple wins in this case, but just a few little dollars. In my next search it was a website as well, www.brighthub.com, at the beginning this was all about the Mac product, saying that they get viruses but not as many as the Dell products do, they have easier operating systems, the ability to run OS X and Windows (legally), and they are simple to use, they have Apple Store support and many other support systems through Apple. But then they got to the Dell product saying that it was nearly $200 dollars cheaper, better software compatibility, find almost any software for PC, larger support community because more people use them, a lot of businesses use PCs, better for gaming, more upgradeable and a few other reasons. In the end, like I said before, I got my way by getting a MacBook, it was not easy, but luckily I got it. Ever since I have had my Mac I have had one simple problem with it, and that was just because I needed a new hard drive, because there was too much information stored on it (I never deleted anything, ever). So, in the end I would say without a doubt I will stay true to Apple products, and probably will never buy a PC, but I guess I should never say never, right?
